Description
Due to expansion we are looking for a Handyperson to join this recycling plant Leicester.

This position would be ideal for someone who is looking for every day to be different.

This role will involve general building maintenance and even helping the team with Planned shutdowns performing preventative maintenance on machinery.


We are looking for someone to join this team as soon as possible due to the increase in production across the site.


The Role as Handyperson Involves:


  • Oversee all aspects of a building maintenance activities. include Office spaces, structures and infrastructure in proper operating condition in a routine, scheduled, or anticipated fashion to prevent failure and/or degradation.
  • Working with site service subcontractors;
  • Control of sites maintenance stock. Planning and issuing parts and to monitor, review and report on stock levels completing monthly stock takes;
  • Completing weekly sprinkler set and fire alarm testing in line with Insurance standards and recommendations;
  • Completing weekly roof inspections.
- undertaking of facility related PPMs;

Experience Required to be a Handyperson;

  • Previous experience fire alarm testing
  • Working in a waste or recycling environment would be beneficial
  • Good people skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a multiskilled workforce and direct reports;

Package of a Handyperson;

  • Monday to Friday 7am 5pm
  • 28 Days Holiday
  • No call out
- £29,250 Annual Salary
