Himley Manor is a 51 bedded home for elderly/dementia residents.

As the Head of Housekeeping you will lead the Housekeeping Team and be responsible for the supervision of all areas of housekeeping in a 'hands-on' capacity ensuring a high standard is achieved and maintained.

What you will be working:

28 hours a week with every other weekend off but must be flexible and available to cover when needed.

What you will be doing:

Maintain standard staff rota ensuring adequate cover at all times
Organise COSHH training including the maintenance of the COSHH register
Be responsible for carrying out performance reviews, supervisions and identifying training needs and areas of improvement required with the domestic team
Work with the Manager and Infection Control lead in the home.
Be responsible for recruitment and selection of new staff
Maintain and order via accounts adequate cleaning supplies for kitchen/housekeeping
Undertake cleaning of the home including service users rooms and communal area
Carry out general cleaning of the premises including floors, sinks, toilets, wash hand basins, ensuite rooms etc
Ensure correct usage, storage and care of cleaning equipment and products
