Senior Production Manager - Hybrid Events

Surrey / Flexi Working

£35,000 - £55,000 + Benefits

We are looking for an experienced live event senior production manager to assist our production director in the design and management of a wide range of projects, encompassing in person, hybrid and virtual events.


Required Key Skills:


  • Management experience in technical event production, in both live and virtual environments
  • Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD LT preferred)
  • Experience managing large onsite crews and subcontractors
  • Proficiency in management H&S in preproduction and on site
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisational and time keeping abilities
  • Willingness to travel and ability to be away from base for short periods of time on projects
  • A determination to achieve, succeed and improve skills and abilities
  • A good team worker with the ability to listen to and build on feedback.

Role Specifics

Overview:


  • Working with the Company Directors and Head of Events to oversee the project design and delivery
  • Supplier specifications, budget management and liaison
  • Management of onsite crew, suppliers, freelancers
  • Main point of contact for client, venues and support teams
  • Basic ability in Show Calling is required
  • Understanding of virtual / hybrid event concepts and ability to manage projects in this sector (with assistance if required)

Detailed role descriptions
Pre-Production

  • Work with design team to create innovative and impressive event concepts, which work within (and maximise) client budgets
  • Subcontractors and suppliers working with technical producer to source suppliers, produce briefs / RFP's, manage quotes and procuring necessary contractors to deliver events
  • Attend site visits and client meetings
  • CAD design, including set / event design, formulating room plans
  • Working with our graphics department to oversee the production of high quality 3D renders and visualisations of concepts for client pitches and proposals.
  • Work alongside our Technical Producer on the H&S management of projects, creation of all necessary on site documentation, including CAD plots, running orders, build schedules and show blocks
  • Assisting with the sourcing and management of external freelance event support and onsite crew
On-Site

  • Representing the company as the main point of contact for the client
  • Quality management delivering events to the highest possible standard without requirement of prompting from client or other members of the Vive team
  • Ensuring all onsite teams are fully briefed as to their responsibilities and operational roles
  • Working with technical team on the quality assurance of all deliverables
- pre-show checks of all systems to ensure requirements and standards are met

  • Managing both technical and client rehearsals to ensure all presenters, crew and event staff have a full understanding of the event prior to its commencement
Post Event

  • Ensure all deliverables are met, such as event highlights edits and archive recorded footage
  • Postevent debrief with internal / external teams and suppliers
  • Post event wrapups / debriefs with clients gather feedback and use to build improvements for next events
  • Management of any GDPR and sensitive data from our internal systems highlighting any data that is retained, and disposal of unnecessary data.

Experience:


  • Professional full time or freelance production management experience 3 years minimum
  • Experience in main areas of event production design, delivery and all technical sectors including lighting, video, audio, rigging and set/stage
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge
  • Passport and willingness to travel essential
  • Full driving license desirable
