This position within EMEA is a Room Architect - An extended resource for our Sales Team (Pre-Sales) that resides within the Advanced Engineering Group.

The role is a pre-sales Audio-Visual focused role as described herein;
The Room Architect is responsible for the pre-sales engineering & design of conference rooms and spaces.

The Room Architect assesses the business objectives for conference spaces & creates a solution based on product strategy and standards.

The primary deliverablesof this role are the Proposal, Bill of Materials (BoM) and Scope of Work (SOW). The Room Architect will review the solutions & costs with the client along with the Account Manager.
About the Advanced Engineering Group (AEG)

The AEG team was formed in 2017 and is 'evolutionary' not 'revolutionary' - the very natureof is agility will ensure its success long term.

The AEG is formed of 4 functional areas.


The AEG functions & individuals all home something in common, they are all technical experts in the field of Visual Communications, & as such can cross-function across each of the functional areas described above.

Travel will be required across Europe. It is envisaged that on average 1 day a week is spent travelling.
The position will be based between two office locations, Chineham Business Park, or 7 Grafton Way, Basingstoke.

The Room Architect must have a broad knowledge of conference room technology & solutions & how the individual components are integrated to form systems that meet client's business requirements.

The Room Architect must be able to create conceptual diagrams todetail the design intent. The Room Architect must also have a working knowledge of network architecture, videoconferencing systems, and supporting infrastructure.
The Room Architect will assess client requirements & create standards-based solutions that will support those requirements.

This position will work closely with the sales & engineering team to create & document high quality designs & set the delivery and support teams up for success.

Assessing client's business objectives & designing solutions that meet these requirements
Creating conceptual designs that explain the high-level connectivity of system components
Creating a complete and accurate bill of materials which will support the required functionality
Documenting the project scope & programming scope accurately & completely
Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of industry trends, new products, & technologies. Detailed knowledge of conference room design principles & best practices
Ability to research & vet solutions for unusual or complex projects
Create Scope of Work documents to reflect solution descriptions, capabilities, & limitations
Present technical solutions to executive-level audiences at partner & client organizations
Maintain ongoing knowledge of processes & procedures as well as individual customer process' & procedures
Participate in transition activities to permit effective information transfer from pre-sales to implementation teams
Create test plans for testing solutions and customer lab
Perform testing & customer labs emulating live world environments
Analyze customer networks to discern visual communications requirements.
Research technical issues involving the network & visual communications equipment. Provide support for ad hoc & one-of-a-kind projects
Knowledge & understanding of Cisco Collaboration Endpoints & peripherals
Knowledge & understanding of Cisco ordering tools (e.g. CCW)

Desirable
InfoComm CTS certification with Advanced CTS-D certification
Polycom PCVE certification
Cisco Collaboration certification (e.g. CCNA Collaboration)
Crestron DM Certified Engineer
Crestron DM Certified Designer
Biamp TesiraForte
Biamp VoIP
Extron AV Associate
High levels of Professionalism and Integrity
Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills.

Domestic travel requiring multi-night stays within and at times outside the local work area. Valid passport; International travel possible
Valid driver's license. Must be willing to complete background checks & drug tests as required by current or future contracts
