The role


You'll join our Brand and Communications team and as a brand ambassador, you'll have an opportunity to maximise the reach and potential of the CIPD brand.

You'll work closely with the Brand Communications Manager, having the opportunity to get involved in planning and delivering the upcoming CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition.


You'll be required to travel to CIPD events, for example The CIPD Annual Conference and Exhibition in Manchester and other events we sponsor or exhibit at.


What you'll be doing

  • Working with the Brand Communications Manager on various strategic brand and communications projects and campaigns.
  • Planning, managing and delivering event operations/ logistics and strategic positioning for the CIPD brand at key commercial events e.g. ACE, FoW and other adhoc events.
  • Managing relationships with key suppliers (stand contractors, app developer, ops teams)
  • Managing internal stakeholders on agreeing brand positioning, priorities, stand presentations, app amends and literature.
  • Managing all stand requirements (build, graphics, internet, electrics, merchandise, lead gen)
  • Reporting on the success and insight of the CIPD's stand presence, leads and ROI.
  • Managing and coordinating the process for the CIPD staff speaking at external events.
  • Managing all requests for CIPD sponsorship at external events, providing recommendations.
  • Supporting the wider brand and communications team with the delivery of campaigns where required.

What you'll need to be successful

  • Experience of delivering multichannel, audienceled communications campaigns.
  • Ability to measure and evaluate communications campaigns outputs and impact.
  • Experience in identifying target audiences and contributing to effective campaigns management.
  • Proven ability to work on endtoend brand and communication project plans within tight deadlines.
  • Strong project management, organisation and planning skills, coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of planning and working at industry events (conferences or exhibitions).
  • Relationship focused, having strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Uptodate with the latest trends in communications, brand and marketing best practices.
  • Experience of developing key messages and content.
  • An excellent writer and communicator, able to create compelling copy for a range of audiences and channels.
  • A degree in marketing, brand management, communications or relevant field or demonstrable equivalent experience.
