We are currently Recruiting for a Regional SHE Advisor to join us at our Ibstock Brick site (South West Region).
From supporting on writing risk assessments; contractor management; participating in audits and inductions to incident investigation - managing SHE KPI's such as safety concern and actions close out.
The role requires a good level of engagement with employees at all levels including feeding valuable information into daily and weekly management meetings and spending time on the production lines to understand the process; although some of the role will require admin a good portion of the day will be spent hands on.
The role will give plenty of exposure to group functions and involves the implementation of group projects at site level in line with business targets.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with all Business stakeholders to ensure our Health & Safety Strategy is delivered and we comply with all relevant H & S legislation at all times
- Proactively collating and analysing data and using problem solving tools to formulate action plans that will deliver reduced risks of injury and illness to employees and workers
- Providing technical H & S advice and guidance for all related H & S requirements within our Business
- Supporting Factory Management Teams on the annual formulation of site specific H & S action plans and supporting and auditing progress to ensure they are delivered
- Measuring and reporting improvements to the Health and Safety
- Providing onsite training to deliver improved safety behaviours for all of our people
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- NEBOSH Certificate and membership of IOSH
- Excellent communication skills including the delivery of training packages
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
- Numerate and literate
- An effective collaborator able to influence a wide cross section of people through passion and encouragement to stop and consider safer ways of working
Training & Development
The initial training may take place at our sites around the UK that utilise similar machinery; therefore, you may be required to stay away from home.
