Senior Business Applications Analyst

The role

The successful applicant will work within the Service Delivery area of our Tech (IT) division to provide services and support to five operating businesses in the UK.

The role involves working
on JD Edwards projects within the Applications Team to deliver quality systems and solutions to our internal customers.

Key Accountabilities:

Working closely with Business Partners within the Company to improve all aspects of Sales, Distribution and/ or Finance related Tech systems and solutions in line with changing business requirements.
Ensuring that day to day maintenance and support of
JD Edwards is carried out in a timely and accurate manner.
To provide second line Service Desk user support for
JD Edwards and associated reporting systems.
Defining and preparing detailed specifications to facilitate software development, through configuration, documentation and testing of software modifications to agreed standards.
Considering all aspects of security of the Business Application Systems; working to ensure integrity of data, and accuracy of information within the
JD Edwards and associated reporting solution.
To provide accurate and timely company wide information in the most efficient manner, as necessary.
Working closely with other members of the Tech (IT) division to ensure that new technologies are adopted as appropriate.
Travel to remote factories/sales offices will be involved.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills

Essential:

Previous experience of supporting and/ or configuring
JD Edwards Enterprise One.
We are looking for a selfstarter who is able to work under their own initiative.
Excellent analytical skills and a logical approach to problem solving.
Excellent Communication skills and effective Team worker.
Good Level of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills is essential.
The ability to work to fixed deadlines is essential.
Confidence to highlight and raise both problems and identify solutions for exploration.
Experience of working to build strong internal relationships and understanding of customer / stakeholder needs.

Desirable:

Good level of Microsoft Visio or other similar process flow chart creation.
Previous experience in a Financial or Accounts environment is desirable.
Previous experience in a Sales and Distribution environment is desirable.

Sites:

Based at Ibstock, Leicester Road Offices (IT)
Opportunities for Hybrid/Remote working would be considered
Requirement to travel / attend all sites across the estate
