Laurus Cheadle Hulme are currently looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to join their team. Being a Cover Supervisor is a rewarding role which involves supervising classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and positive learning environment for the students.

The role requires strong organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to think on your feet and adapt to different classroom environments.

This position is contracted on a Term Time Only basis.

This means you will mainly work when the school is open to students and will not need to work during the school holidays unless the contract requires you to do so.

In total you will be in work for a minimum of 37 out of 52 weeks.

Laurus Cheadle Hulmeis a non-selective, non-denominational free school which opened in September 2018.

We work hard to ensure that every member of our school community has access to a rich and diverse range of opportunities.

Our students are housed in a purpose-built building with access to state-of-the-art facilities and overlooking Bruntwood Park, with our Year 11 students progressing to Sixth Forms in the Laurus Trust.

Job Purpose _

To provide classroom and registration cover for absent teachers and provide administrative support as requested
Be responsible for a class of students in lesson time with due regard for their health and safety and the school's high expectations and work ethos

Key Skills & Experience

Sound educational background including GCSE's in Maths and English (A*C) or equivalent
Experience working in a school environment would be advantageous
Ideally possess prior experience within a similar role
