Job Title General Maintenance Operative


Reporting to Facilities & Maintenance Manager


Main Purpose General Maintenance Duties


Working Hours Full Time (37.5 hours) which may include evenings, weekends and bank holidays as required and in line with business needs.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Maintenance Team looks after the stadium and other associated WBA venues


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the timely delivery of general building and fabric maintenance.
  • Ensure that service delivery meets the requirements of performance targets, KPIs and Health & Safety.
  • Support for all general maintenance duties for 2man and absence cover.
  • Undertake minor works / alterations.
  • Ensuring equipment is kept clean, in working order and sent for repair where necessary.
  • Carry out Fabric Technician duties, such as but not limited to maintenance/repair to joinery and minor repair to building fabric and ad hoc painting / touching up to properties.
  • Minor mechanical / electrical repairs overseen by trades person.
  • Minor repair to plumbing systems and clearing blockages.
  • Gutter & gulley clearance.
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM's) jobs assigned.
  • Carry out such other duties that may from time to time arise, develop, or be assigned and that are consistent with the nature of the job.
  • Carry out all responsibilities with due regard to the Club values and policies and procedures, in particular Health & Safety, Equality and Diversity, Confidentiality and regarding the Data Protection Act.
  • To undertake required training, including but not limited to mandatory Club Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety training.
  • To ensure that the Club's Safeguarding and Adults at Risk policies and procedures are always adhered to.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Essential Criteria

  • Must possess a 'hands on approach' and be a true team player.
  • Experience in general property maintenance and fixing equipment, in a commercial / public venue setting desirable.
  • Applied knowledge of general building maintenance.
  • Can work alone and with mínimal supervision where required.
  • Proactive, takes pride in their work, knowledge in PPM.
  • Confidential and diplomatic.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbally.
  • Able to help with other trades when needed.
  • Knowledge in landscaping, lawn cutting, hedge cutting, weed control.
  • Full driving license.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
