Description
We are a busy fibreglass manufacturer based on Carr Wood Road in Castleford, West Yorkshire.

We are seeking to recruit a Full-Time Driver / Yardperson.

The role involves approximately % of the week driving a 3.5 ton vehicles with occasional towing of large trailer, with the remainder involving general Yard or labouring duties.

Due to the length of the combined truck and trailer this position requires a driver with experience of towing.


Requirements are:

  • Full clean driving licence for 3.5 ton trucks.
  • Experience of towing a tripleaxle trailer.
  • Physically fit as the role involves some lifting.
  • Electronic Tachograph card (for use when towing trailer).
  • Understanding of the working hours rules for Tachograph driving.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, with and without the addition of a trailer.
  • Ability to plan your own routes to adapt to traffic conditions.
  • Flexibility to make early starts/late finish for long journeys.
  • Willingness to work additional hours at short notice.
  • HGV experience an advantage due to length of combined transport.
Minimum GCSE pass grades in English & Maths.

Basic hours are 38.75 per week plus overtime.

Monday - Friday.
