Opportunity for a sports massage therapist to join the seventy9 Sports Therapy team in Guildford.

Working closely with the strength coaches in our HQ at Advance Performance, Merrist Wood College, Guildford, GU3 3PE, the team within the facility forms a multi-disciplinary sports performance environment that also caters for non-exercise patients.

This role is best suited to a mobile therapist with an established patient base looking for a stable clinic role, and/or one who is keen and willing to drive growth, with potential for cross referral and growth within the clinic.

You will be expected to:

• Plan and implement proactive sports massage therapy to improve condition and/or reduce pain
• Develop appropriate care plans within your scope of practice
• Record patient notes in accordance with HCPC standards of conduct, performance and ethics
• Be responsible for the organisation, prioritisation and planning of your own diary
• Refer patients to other members of the multidisciplinary team within seventy9 Sports Therapy and Advance Performance if their care plan and/or future health and wellbeing falls outside of your scope of practice
• Be available to work a mixture of shifts including mornings and evenings with the option for weekend work should you desire (this is flexible and will be discussed further at interview)
• Take an active role in marketing for the clinic

Qualifications:

• Minimum level 3 qualification in sports massage (level 4 desirable)
• SMA, ISRM, BASRaT or SST registration

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years' experience in treating private patients
• Additional massage qualifications are a bonus
• Experience in a multidisciplinary environment desirable

Located in Advance Performance, Merrist Wood College, we form the medical side to the sports performance team alongside the strength coaches at Advance Performance.

Our skilled and experienced therapists use best evidence-based practice to restore full fitness and function across the spectrum of sport, exercise and occupationally related injuries, treating patients as an individual and building bespoke exercise programmes to fit their lifestyle and schedule.
