Job description:


The Commercial Systems & Intelligence team has ownership and accountability of the technology used to manage the commercial lifecycle from source to contract across the Health System (the DHSC, it's ALBs and the NHS).

We are on an ambitious journey which will create an industry leading platform, with easy access to data creating visibility of commercial pipelines, enabling collaboration to drive commercial effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and resilience.


As an EO in the Commercial Systems & Intelligence team, you will be providing support to deliver robust supplier and contract management, a positive commercial system user experience and effective delivery of data and information to a wide range of stakeholders.

The role will require strong organisational skills and the ability to capture and present information clearly.

The role will also require the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across organisations, to gather and manipulate data to feed into dashboards and reporting.

There will also be opportunities to conduct research into suppliers and key categories.
- using the full range of Microsoft Packages, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. (Power BI preferred).
- taking minutes, drafting meeting documents and agendas
- working independently and as part of a team


Role responsibilities

  • Building effective networks and relationships with colleagues, the wider Department and across the Health System.
  • Providing professional, timely and effective management of diaries, meeting requests and secretariat support when required.
  • Coordinate monthly reporting from across the Arm's Length Bodies that form the Health Family, maintaining and updating dashboards and activity trackers. Where possible, identifying improvements to the reporting processes and gathering feedback from stakeholders
  • Ensure the Atamis Commercial Management system is kept up to date and provide management information to the team on key performance indicators. Running reports and gathering information where required.
  • Taking responsibility for own personal development and ensure a robust personal development plan has been agreed with line manager.
  • Supporting other team members on projects and proactively contribute to the work of the whole team.
  • Conduct supplier research, validate via multiple data sources and set up Supplier accounts.
  • Set up new user accounts and ensure they receive the full onboarding process. This may include providing basic systems training.
  • Carry out regular processes supporting the Atamis Commercial Management system as well as contract management duties.

Person specification:


Key skills and experience required for the role:

  • Experience of Microsoft Packages, including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. (Power BI preferred).
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills_._ This includes supporting report writing, submissions and options papers.
