The Membership Coordinator role is an important one within a small but strong and highly motivated membership team.

You will also work closely with different members of the wider UKGBC team to support our membership retention and recruitment activities.


This role is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude, and a drive for creating and supporting efficient business systems and processes.

Robust business administrative skills and efficient communication are key to the success of this position.


Self-leadership is a key requirement for all UKGBC team members, who are actively supported in driving their own ongoing learning and personal development.

Job summary

Membership Coordinator


Job purpose:
To support the recruitment and retention of UKGBC members, and to ensure that member engagement processes and outcomes are competitive and fit for purpose


Line Manager:
Membership Engagement Manager

Key responsibilities

Headlines

  • Support the recruitment, onboarding and induction of new members across the entire property and construction value chain, includes the hosting of webinars
  • Support the full exploitation of UKGBC's CRM system, Salesforce, to drive member recruitment and member engagement
  • Support the research, analysis and presentation of membership and prospect member data including analysis and presentation of member engagement reports, and an annual survey
  • Liaise with members to improve their overall engagement with UKGBC and to inform them of specific beneficial activities
  • Coordinate timely responses to members
  • Support the timely update of UKGBC membership materials including website updates, presentations, and social media accounts.
  • Support the drafting and delivery of member communications and blogs
  • Organise, attend and minute internal and external membershiprelated meetings and events with existing members and prospects.

Communication and Leadership

  • Solicit and provide feedback across the internal network, including those outside your core work area and upward for managers.
  • Champion the organisational culture and values and contribute ideas toward such, and actively demonstrate a positive impact on team culture

People requirements

Key competencies

  • A people person; emotionally intelligent with persuasive communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, and with the ability to communicate complex ideas in engaging ways
  • Confident, selfmotivated and impactoriented, with agile delivery
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems, and analyse situations or data that require an evaluation of intangibles
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure, with good planning and organisational skills
  • Strong project coordination capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple projects/activities; maintaining tight deadlines with excellent attention to detail
