An Excellent opportunity to join a successful community organisation in the heart of the Ward End Community in Birmingham.The Families Connector will play a pivotal role in the year ahead to grow relationships with local families and lead on out-of-school provisions for the local community.
- Demonstrate relevant experience of working with families.
- Demonstrate an understanding of working within organisational policies and practices including Health and Safety, Diversity & Inclusion, GDPR and Safeguarding.
- Ability to recruit, train and supervise volunteers and animators.
- Proven experience in developing relationships with Professionals, Community Leaders, Councillors and Citizens.
- Ability to respond to people from diverse backgrounds, faiths and heritage.
- A selfstarter, ability to take initiative, lead and collaborate.
- IT skills including MS Office and online platforms such as Zoom.
- Demonstrate flexibility, tenacity and ability to travel independently within the local community.
The Role:
- Grow relationships with local families within the neighbourhood of Ward End and to hold a weekly families club.
- Collaborate with colleagues and partners to develop a Lunchtime and After School Club.
- Welcome and encourage local people from all backgrounds, faiths and heritage to participate in activities and where possible encourage local people to lead.
- Implement our 'Theory of Change' through the lenses of Nurturing Trust, Welcome Participation, Inspire Abundance and Ripple Generosity.
- Collect data, records and produce reports for the Board and funders as required.
- Utilise assessment tools and evaluation processes.

Salary:
£25,324 Pro Rata
Hours: 20 hours per week (Including evenings and weekends)
