We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Apprentice Skills Coach (formerly known as Trainer Assessor) with construction background and experience.

Who has the passion and ability to impart their experience, skills, and knowledge to a caseload of apprentices on Craft Apprenticeships.

With a focus on a cohort of Carpentry and Joinery Apprenticeship standards.

Attitude is key - we want someone who is committed to our vision and willing to support us in supplying the highest quality service to both students and local, regional, and national employers.

The successful applicant will work as part of a team delivering high quality training and assessment to construction apprentices.

The primary duties include carrying out 8-10 weekly high quality tripartite reviews of apprentice's progress across the holistic programme supplying feedback in a way that motivates individuals and help apprentices overcome potential barriers to progression whilst supporting them to pass their Apprenticeship end point assessment.

We are looking for a positive, proactive and solutions focused individual to help us drive the provision to support our journey to outstanding.

Knowledge of the Apprenticeship Standards, E - portfolio system (Smart Assessor) and experience of working with apprentices would be beneficial along with excellent communication skills and a 'can do' approach to tasks.

However, we will provide all the required training for those looking for a career change from carpentry and joinery related roles to education.

Qualifications:

You must hold at least a Level 2 construction qualification
Hold or be prepared to work towards an Assessor and Verification award, e.g., TAQA, A1 or V
A minimum of Level 2 qualifications in maths and English or equivalent.
