**SEND Classroom Assistant - Thetford, Norfolk - £77-£87 a day

  • Part Time or Full Time**Do you have experience working with children? Are you dedicated to supporting a young persons educational growth?


Breakthrough In Education is working closely with an SEMH school in the Thetford area to find an experienced, passionate and creative teaching assistant to join their team.

The school provides a specialist learning environment for young people with a wide range of Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The school benefits from a multidisciplinary approach providing children with trauma and attachment informed care.

The school has an inclusive and supportive structure for their staff and pupils, offering extensive therapeutic training and support to staff.


The Role

  • You will be working as part of a team of TAs to assist the teacher in delivering lessons to small groups of pupils.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively within the team and with the outer team this is crucial to a safe environment for the pupils.
  • Taking a creative approach to education and engage in fun, inventive methods of teaching.
  • Ensuring the classroom is a tidy and clean environment.
  • Understand each student's EHCP and take their various needs into consideration.

The Ideal applicant

  • Experience working with young people either in a volunteer capacity or work capacity.
  • Experience of young people or adults with disabilities or mental health needs.
  • To bring positivity and enthusiasm into the school environment.
  • Resilient and willing to adapt
  • Be calm and approachable with making good decisions.
  • A creative approach to learning and teaching.

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Temp to perm


Salary:
£77.00-£87.00 per day
