Position Overview and Club information:


Kingsway Athletic FC are seeking dedicated and passionate individual to join our Manchester based private football organisation as a Club Phase Lead Coach.


This role is fundamental in overseeing the development of players through-out our football pathway from Kickers Club aged between 2 up to 5 to our teams between Under 7 to Under 17.

You will be working with a diverse mix of children of different genders, ethnicities, religions and backgrounds.

Your role will be ensuring and maintaining that our players receive high-quality coaching and support to reach their full potential and feel accommodated within our club.


We are an ambitious local football team which prides itself on being an accessible and inclusive football club which is identifiable with our wider community.

We strive to reach out and engage with our local community, representing them and provide a safe and nurturing football environment which is safe and friendly.


Key Responsibilities:

Player Development - Design and implement age-appropriate training sessions bespoke to specific age groups. Focus on skill development, tactical understanding and physical conditioning.

Team Management - Lead and manage a specific age group or phase of the club including organising matches, selecting squads, and providing constructive feedback to players and coaches.

Coach Education - Support the development of young coaches and volunteers within your phase, providing guidance, mentorship and leadership to enhance coaching performance and structure at club.

Player Welfare - Foster a positive and inclusive environment where players feel valued, supported and motivated to improve both on and off the field.

Communication - Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, club officials and coaches. Provide regular information and updates into WhatsApp groups about training schedules, matches, player issues, club notices and payments.

Administrative Tasks - Assist with administrative duties related to player registration, fixtures, equipment management, facilities and other club operations as required.

Club Values - Uphold our club values of respect, sportsmanship, inclusivity, diversity and fair play setting a positive role-model at the club.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum FA Level 2 Coaching Certificate required
  • Preferred FA Level 3 (UEFA B) or higher required
  • DBS required
  • Safeguarding Certificate
  • Previous coaching experience at grassroots level
  • Previous experience working with children in a sports environment
  • Strong knowledge of player development principles and ageappropriate coaching techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with players, parents, and fellow coaches.
  • Great teamwork skills, displaying an ability to effectively work with colleagues, supporting and leading.
  • Passion for grassroots football and player development with a commitment to promoting a positive sporting culture within the community.

£15.00-£17.00 per hour
