Based in office in mainly Plymouth, Devon. Occasional Saltash, Cornwall.

Hours per week 37.5 hours per week

About the Company


Our client One Less Worry Payroll Services has gone from strength to strength since its inception as an outsourced payroll provider, with the head office in Plymouth, Devon, and a brand-new office in Saltash, Cornwall which has just opened.


They work with some of the leading financial and legal companies where they provide payroll and pension auto enrollment to their employees.

Their commitment is to provide a personal service to their clients, by getting to know them and building long-standingrelationships so that they can understand the businesses of their clients and provide them with a tailored service.


They are now seeking a talented Payroll Officer to work mainly in their Plymouth office, but occasional in their new Saltash office.


About The Role


As Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for your own portfolio of clients, all of which have complex needs as you would expect in a role such as this.


This will include processing the end-to-end payroll cycle, managing statutory payments and other deductions, processing tax code changes, undertaking manual calculations, providing 1st line support to clients' and employees' payroll queries, and managingthe year end procedures.

During your role, you may also be required to liaise with HMRC.


About You


You should have two to three or more years of experience working in a busy payroll function and a qualification from the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals is desirable.

They'd love you to have working knowledge of various payroll software packagesand an understanding of human resources and labor rules and regulations would be a bonus.


It goes without saying that you should have strong numeracy skills and have a great attention to detail, as well as being able to feel comfortable dealing with highly confidential information.

A history of providing exemplary customer service skills is essential,excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational and time management skills.


You should also feel comfortable working to your own initiative and meeting your own deadlines as well as being part of a wider team.
