Finance Assistant

Salary:
£23,194 - £24,496 pro-rated

Full time or Part-time hours (minimum of 25 hours per week)

All year round or minimum of 41 weeks a year (term time plus 2 weeks)

(Flexible hours may be considered)

Location:
Based at Chipping Sodbury School. Travel to other schools may be required.

The Athelstan Trust is a successful and growing Multi-Academy Trust consisting of five secondary schools in Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and South Gloucestershire.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Finance Assistant to join the Trust's busy Finance team. The role will be based at one site, however travel to other schools may be required.

This role is diverse and will provide many opportunities to develop a wide range of skill sets to support your future career development.

Duties will include:

Overseeing the day to day running of the Finance Office
Being first point of contact for all financial queries
Running and processing the weekly BACS runs
Assisting budget holders with requisitions, orders and budget queries
Reconciliation of educational trips, school credit card and supplier statements
Overseeing the operation of ParentPay
Overseeing the finance administration of educational visits
Overseeing cash handling and banking

The Trust is still in a growth phrase and this role is likely to change over time as a result.
