    About the Role:

    We are seeking a Mechanical and Piping Designer to produce mechanical engineering design packages, providing input and support from sales through to installation. The majority of time will be spent translating and developing conceptual designs to meet functional and contractual specifications.

    Role & Responsibilities:

    • Create initial design concept and layout from scratch
    • Assist sales and proposals with initial design prior to tender
    • Work with mechanical applications engineers to develop generic design concepts and interface with CAD design tools
    • Produce 3D modelled parts using AutoCAD
    • Develop general arrangements into full design deliverables
    • Liaise with relevant personnel, sub-contractors, and site engineers
    • Maintain Autocad functionality and library of generic design components
    • Ensure adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies

    About You:

    Essential:

    • Minimum 5 years' experience in designing piping installations within Petrochemical and Service industries
    • Experience and understanding of Clarke Energy products and processes
    • HND/HNC level in Mechanical Engineering or similar
    • Fully conversant with AutoCAD, Autodesk Navis Review, and Microsoft Office suite
    • Knowledge of 3D solid modelling

    Desirable:

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
