An office-based role working as part of a small team. This varied role is a great opportunity for a motivated individual.This post aims to maximise fundraising opportunities for the charity by delivering a clear, consistent and effective message across all communication channels, whilst supporting day-to-day office activities and administration.
Responsibilities:
- Point of contact for supporter enquiries/requests for fundraising information
- Respond to supporter enquiries across all media
- Ensure donors/supporters are thanked in a timely fashion and are aware of the impact of their gift
- Provide continued contact for supporters, ensuring an excellent level of communication at all times
- Promote legacy/will writing information with supporters
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to recognise and capitalise on fundraising opportunities by individuals, groups and organisations
- Prepare materials/packs for charitable events
- Write creatively for a range of channels and adapt the writing style according to the audience
- Promote Ménière's Society events and sponsored challenges at every opportunity
- Source advertising and sponsorship for the Society's print/online marketing and events
- Represent the Ménière's Society at support groups and other external events and deliver inperson or online presentations to these groups/events, as required
- Provide administrative support for the charity's annual conference
- Provide administrative support for Balance Awareness Week (annually during September); liaising with supporters and following plans/goals to maximise fundraising during the week
- Potential to assist with PR opportunities.
- The Supporter Engagement Officer will also handle daytoday tasks, including:_
- Respond to information line (helpline) enquiries
- Process and record memberships, gifts and donations
- Input and update data on the Society's Raisers' Edge and website databases
- Provide support with local/online group administration
- Process and maintain paper and electronic filing systems
- Handle incoming and outgoing post
- Ensure an adequate stock of membership packs, stationery, equipment, etc and maintain/update an inventory of items
- Ensure workflow and process documents are current and kept up to date.
- Able to work independently; at times you may be the only person in the office
- Any other duties, as required.

Salary:
£24,000.00-£27,000.00 per year
