THE ROLE:


With nearly 200 employees, we operate from two main locations in the UK, London and Leatherhead and adopt a hybrid work policy with the majority of users working from office and remote locations.

Our leatherhead office is also home to our twenty-four-by-seven service desk which provides support to our maintenance, support and managed service customers.


As we continue to grow and invest in new technology solutions to further enable our growth, we require a Head of IT to take responsibility of our IT environment and management of our internal IT team.


In this role you will be responsible for the development, management, and support of our systems, and lead the team who support our colleagues in their day-to-day IT needs.

You will be responsible for ensuring appropriate levels of security, governance, compliance and business continuity.


You will have experience of managing a hybrid IT environment, with expertise around Cisco Meraki infrastructure, Microsoft 365, Teams and Azure.

As the internal IT lead, you will managing a small team of IT support engineers and administrators and will be a good patient communicator, able to talk to colleagues of all levels and ability.


You will be able to work under pressure, be flexible and have proven ability to manage multiple internal projects at once.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The role requires you to look after all aspects of our IT systems and policies which will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Development and delivery of our IT strategy, including but not limited to platforms, security, and compliance, in line with our IT governance policy.
  • Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to ensure security, efficiency, and business continuity.
  • Management of IT staff, including hiring, development, evaluation, and guidance.
  • Manage and monitor the performance of our IT systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT provision.
  • Responsible for Internal on site and remote support project delivery activities for managed desktop, server, virtualisation, storage, backup, voice, and network solutions
  • Ownership and development of our leaver, joiner process
  • Management of guest access policies and experience.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and meet their technology needs.
  • Responding to alerts and actions from our SIEM and monitoring platforms and responding, logging tickets, triaging, and escalating as necessary.
  • Management of IT budget and understanding of spend across the environment.
  • Assist in user education programme development where required for new systems or changes in configuration in conjunction with Training dept.
  • Will be familiar with the systems and policies to deal with client requests on IT policy

KEY SKILLS:
Required Technical Skills:


  • At least five years in a similar role
  • At least three years' experience in the management and administration of Cisco networking
- at least three years' experience in Active Directory and Windows user identity management

  • At least three years' experience in Exchange Server and Exchange Online
  • Experience with Azure, Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect
  • Experience with Windows endpoint management including Intune, autopilot and Defender.
  • Previous experience as a Microsoft partner and a good understanding of Microsoft partner licensing
  • A very good knowledge of modern unified communications including Microsoft Teams and Webex
  • A strong working knowledge of compliance, security, governance and cost management around both Microsoft and Cisco
