Sugarman Education are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants and Learning Mentors in schools within the North and East London area.

Experience working in school is not a necessity, just a willingness to learn and take on a new challenge


Applicants should have experience working with young people in any capacity, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Teacher, Scout/Guide Leader etc.

We are looking for people who want to transfer their skills into a Teaching Assistant or Academic Coach Role. The role is a fantastic opportunity for people considering a career in teaching and could be the first step to starting your career in education

  • Experience working with young people
  • A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who is able to support and inspire children to learn
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
  • The ability to adapt to an ever changing workload
  • The readiness to learn and take on a new challenge

Responsibilities:


  • Supporting the classroom teacher
  • Monitoring pupil progress
  • Working with students 1to1 or in small groups
  • Behaviour Management
  • Working closely with and teaching staff and members of the school community
