Description

A vacancy has arisen for a scrap material handler operator based at our Belfast facilities.

The purpose of the Crane Driver/General Operative is to carry out all activities necessary to ensure the safe loading, sorting and unloading of scrap metal.

To organise material to ensure good standards of housekeeping are met.

Key accountabilities of the Crane Driver/General Operative include:

Ensure vehicles are loaded and unloaded in a safe and proper manner
Assist with the loading and unloading of ships
Safely stockpile various grades of scrap metal
Ensure materials are stored in accordance with company policy
Ensure daily checks are completed
Attend any training courses that the company proposes
Coordinate with other operatives to ensure the correct processing of all loads
Process material to conform with grade specifications as directed by Site Supervisor
Assist in the scheduling of inward and outward transport
Liaise with customers, drivers and contractors who visit the site
Ensure the working area is kept in a clean and tidy state at all times
Able to work flexible working hours to include occasional nights and weekends.
Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require
Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community
