We're seeking an enthusiastic individual who is eager to learn and thrives in an outdoor environment.


You will be working as a two-person team from our offices in Driffield, collecting topographical survey data using a variety of surveying equipment, to accurately measure physical features predominantly for the Power Industry.

No previous survey knowledge is necessary as all training will be given to support personal development.


You will be assisting in survey operations across various locations throughout the UK, so this role would suit you if you enjoy travelling and want the opportunity to explore different regions of the UK.


With such small working teams, you would be a vital part of LSTC's staff very quickly and this is a fantastic opportunity to start a very rewarding career.

Our survey teams work Mon-Fri with a Flexi-Friday pattern which usually sees them have every other Friday off. Weekend work is occasionally required but very rare. We offer paid overtime, 25 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays and a company pension scheme.


Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:


Core Activities

  • To assist the Surveyor by recording topographical features using a pole mounted GPS receiver
  • Working outside in all weathers anywhere in the UK
  • Conducting laser scans.
  • Ensure that survey equipment is put on charge as needed
  • Undertake all necessary training Health & Safety Training
  • Comply with LSTC's and Clients Health and Safety policies.
  • Complete daily Risk assessment documentation
  • Completing timesheets accurately on a day by day basis
  • Occasional assisting with other officebased tasks as and when require

  • Must enjoy working outdoors and traveling to different parts of the Country
  • A willingness to take on new challenges and adapt to an everchanging sector is essential.

Experience/Training

  • No prior experience needed as full onsite training will be provided.
  • Willing to attended relevant training courses as required
