Puttenham is proud of its reputation as a one of the friendliest golf clubs in Surrey, our picturesque 18-hole tree lined course will provide a challenge to any golfer.

Nestling in the foothills of the Hogs Back just off the A31 in Surrey, the club is only10 minute drive from the center of Guildford.


The shop and reception area acts as the information hub for the golf club, meeting and greeting members and guests, arranging games of golf, organizing golf tuition and providing merchandise and the latest fashion apparel.


We aim to deliver a special place for members, visitors and staff alike to enjoy and flourish, we care about our staff's well-being and ensure that working patterns are organized in advance with no split shifts.

Overview of Role


Working closely with the Golf Operations Manager and leading three team members you will be responsible for the efficient day to day organisation of the Shop, reception and deliver of all golf related services.


Previous experience of managing in a retail environment and managing staff is preferred but attitude and personality are the number one qualification for this role, you can be assured that training and support is provided.


This is a permanent, 40 hours per week contracted position, providing the successful applicant with all year-round employment and security.

  • Managing retail sales and ensuring the efficient daytoday organisation of the Shop and reception area.
  • Stock purchasing and inventory and cash controls
  • Administering club competitions and events
  • Managing tee reservations and buggy rentals.
  • Responsible for staff rotas and team performance
  • Ensure the shop and all work areas are clean and tidy and merchandise is displayed attractively.
  • Support colleagues in delivering a high standard of customer service
  • Contribute and produce regular news bulletins promoting offers in the shop and club activities
