The Operations & Business Improvements Team within OUP's Academic Sales function provides system and process improvement support to range of global users including sales representatives, processing operatives, customer-facing and sales support staff.


ABOUT THE ROLE


This is an exciting opportunity in our Academic Sales function leading continuous improvement projects targeted at processes covering the whole sales cycle for OUP's Academic product catalogue.


Responsibilities include:

  • Planning and facilitating regular process improvement projects and events and managing the delivery of improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodology and tools.
  • Measuring and tracking the benefits of delivered improvements.
  • Acting as an ambassador for continuous improvement by coaching the wider community in Lean methodology and encouraging participation in continuous improvement activities.
  • Acting as a Product Owner for key systems used within Sales, ensuring that technology changes meet user requirements.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.


ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must:

  • Be trained to Lean Six Sigma Green Belt level
  • Be competent with basic Lean Six Sigma tools such as project charters, SIPOC diagrams, Value Stream Maps, Pareto charts, effort/impact charts etc.
  • Be a confident communicator able to facilitate workshops and make presentations to staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Knowledge of Agile and experience representing users as a product owner or SME on technology projects or change initiatives is desirable but not essential.
