Description
The Lead Trainer Coach will deliver high quality teaching, training, coaching, and mentoring, as well as formative assessment. Your role is to support the development of each learner and empower them through all aspects of their journey.

Via provision of continual assessment and feedback, you will endeavour to enhance and improve skills, knowledge, and practice, to enable our learners to achieve, meet gateway requirements and successfully prepare for End Point Assessment (EPA).


You are the go-to support specialist for the Team of Trainer Coaches, ensuring curriculum delivery is up to date, exciting, engaging and standardised across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Manage and maintain a caseload of learners
  • Engage and build a strong relationship with the learner, line managers and workplace mentors
  • Take responsibility to monitor and support your learners through their apprenticeships from enrolment and to completion
  • Deliver teaching and learning in group workshops, 121 sessions and through remote learning sessions utilising modern systems and creativity
  • Stay up to date with industry practices and work closely with the awarding organisations (AOs) and End Point Assessment Organisations (EPAOs) to ensure the organisation and learners are kept up to date
  • Work closely with sector IQAs to promote quality improvements and the implementation of QAP
  • Manage, monitor, and administrate your eLearning management systems, ensuring an accurate audit trail with each learner, capturing contact and progression, and support peers to deliver best administrative practice
  • Embed English, maths and ICT teaching and learning within the programmes you deliver, promoting and encouraging use of eLearning
  • Develop resources and plan new innovative ways of engaging learner in the delivery models
  • Working collaboratively with peers to share best practice, lead on standardisation and supporting the Quality Assurance team
  • Take on feedback from the Internal Quality Assurer and the Quality Manager to ensure that your own practice and that of your Trainer Coaches continues to be exemplary
  • Support the design and maintain the implementation of updated delivery models, SOW, and resources accordingly with all responsible sector qualifications and standards
  • Ensure the development of innovative resources including workshop materials and curriculum resources

The Lead Trainer Coach will motivate, inspire, and encourage fellow Trainer Coaches through the sharing of good practice, information, advice, and guidance.


We want to see a team of Trainer Coaches who share IAG and take responsibility for the curriculum, learners, and clients in their sector/s.

The Lead's role is to create an environment of togetherness for their team, while supporting the Head of delivery in leading and supervising the Trainer Coaches to deliver absolute excellence.

We are looking for someone to be brave, transparent and build trust. Leading on curriculum is a big part in this role.

Essential Requirements:

  • The applicant should hold the assessor qualifications (CAVA or equivalent)
  • Hold or be working towards Level 3 in Education and Training or equivalent
  • Hold a Level 4 Internal Quality Assurance qualification (or equivalent)
  • Hold GSCEs A*C grace or equivalent (e.g. Level 2 English and Maths Functional Skills)
  • Hold a minimum Level 5 in Management
  • Demonstrate experience of leading and supervising a team
  • Demonstrate extensive experience of delivering Leadership and Management / Coaching apprenticeships / qualifications as a Trainer Coach
  • Demonstration of your ability to develop curriculum and resources is essential
  • Demonstrate leading on standardisation and evidence of contributing to the CPD of staff
