Mercia Group is one of the leading providers of training and support services to the UK accountancy profession, working with over 8000 firms nationwide.
In this skills and management training role, you will be supporting the Management & Skills Consultant in writing and presenting high-quality, high-impact management and skills training for accounting clients.
Responsibilities of the Skills Trainer:
- Responsible for the production of highquality materials that are technically correct, up to date and practical and valuable for our clients.
- Presenting agreed topics in the medium and location has been determined to best suit the client and achieve Mercia's strategic direction.
- Work closely with and support our Product team. This includes contributing to the technical, client and competitor intelligence used to make Product decisions and liaising with the Product Director and Managers when updating or creating a product to ensure that client needs are met and product solutions can be iterated to our Sales and Marketing teams.
- Be a brand advocate for Mercia.
- You will also support our Sales and Marketing team by representing your technical field of expertise in client meetings and by supplying clear and compelling materials for marketing and website purposes if requested.
- Working closely with our Client Success and Operations team to ensure that you are clear on any specific client requirements and how client success can be achieved and measured.
- Build relationship with clients and diary manager(s) and ensure that any available time in your diary is shown as such to maximise utilisation rates and company profitability.
In order to be successful in this role you will need:
- Sufficient experience of training or otherwise coaching or upskilling others.
- Excellent practical and wellresearched knowledge in the fields of management, leadership, mental health and wellbeing and business development.
- The ability to undertake a high degree of research to remain up to date with management and skills best practices.
- Excellent commercial awareness of the UK accounting profession.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, staff and external parties.
- A high degree of organisational and project management skills.
- Organised selfstarter, able to work without direct supervision.
- Desire to understand the overall Mercia strategy and ability to align themselves to that strategy.
- Desire to work with firms to help them find practical solutions.
- A team player. Always happy to help and support colleagues and go the extra mile.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
