Join our fantastic and expanding team of security and welfare professionals and rise to the challenge in providing grass root support services.

A brilliant opportunity to work with a client base requiring proactive management and guidance.

We want to add to our team of skilled roaming operatives responsible for ensuring the security of our assets and clients.

5 day per week shifts.

Shifts patterns include hours between 3pm to 3am - 4pm to 4am - 5pm to 5am on 10 hour shift basis, 5 days a week, rotating days.


Responsibilities and Duties of the Community Support Operative:
Working in a multi-functional Support and Security Team that accommodates a variety of vulnerable client bases.

Be aware of a multitude of community issues, law, and crime prevention techniques.

  • Be prepared to attend live incidences of low level ASB, crime and domestic related issues.
  • Ensuring on site compliance with Conditions of Residence and general behaviour of clients.
  • Consciousness of wider community impact and ensuring behaviours within and externally to the buildings are managed well
  • Receiving questions and queries in a customer focused and polite manner, managing contact from our clients in respect to out of hours enquiries and managing the scheme effectively
  • Communicate with staff in a professional manner and share sensitive and important information with your day time colleagues
  • Operation of Incident Management systems, logs and record keeping in a professional and efficient manner
  • Operation of activation led CCTV systems, as well as normal operating and monitoring of all CCTV within our portfolio
  • Provide real time support to the business and clients
  • Liaise with agencies and authorities effectively and efficiently
  • Maintain call logs, incident reports and company specific reports
  • Maintaining regular radio contact with colleagues and control room and provide essential information relevant to the running of the service, as well as night time check ins with our Control Room Operatives
  • Maintaining a clean environment and ensuring the communal areas of the Schemes remain clean and tidy at all times
  • Other duties necessary for the effective operation and positive reputation of the business
  • Have a basic and fundamental repairs knowledge in order to solve out of hours maintenance issues and carry out basic repairs (must include 'make safe and isolate' knowledge)
  • Must have an eye for upkeeping of buildings, and wilful attitude towards maintaining the appearance of our buildings and a care and pride for our asset appearance
  • Must have a caretaker approach to the upkeep of our buildings and carry out routine maintenance checks, repairs and general sweeps and cleans of our buildings
  • Have situation awareness and the ability to read situations within the properties
  • Understand relevance of information that could be important for intelligence reasons
  • Ability to conduct ones self professionally and appropriately when liaising with emergency services
  • Have an understanding of First Aid and a willingness to administer when required
  • An ability to deescalate and communicate with individuals that may not be cooperative
  • Must have an understanding of when a situation requires the next level of response

Essential Skills and Knowledge:


  • PACE and Common Law
  • Investigative and quality reporting skills.
  • Incident management and first response experience
  • Deescalation and grass root people skills a must
  • Physical fitness
  • PC skills
  • Maintenance and repair skills to a basic level and understanding
  • People skills, managing conflict and complaint resolution
  • Good knowledge of excel, word and other computer packages
  • Hold or ability to obtain security clearance (DBS)
  • Good communication skills verbal and written
  • Capacity to integrate with all stakeholder levels both internally and externally including the clients.
  • Customer focused background with Support principles always being put first.
  • Previous experience with producing client & management reports
  • SIA licence desirable but not essential for selection.

£24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
