Key Outline:

As
HSO you are responsible for minimising and removing the risk of accidents, work-related illnesses, and injuries in the workplace.

Maintain the safety information of an organisation and promote safety compliance by shaping new protocols and strengthening existing health and safety policies.

Main Responsibilities Include:

Your duties and responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

Develop, maintain and co-ordinate health and safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance to health and safety regulations for all employees of the business.
Ensure equipment is installed safely and maintained to the necessary standard.
Undertake risk assessments. Identifying potential hazards and determining ways of reducing risks.
Keep up to date the safe operational practices ensuring adherence to any changes in legislation.
Ensure all First Aider and Fire Marshall responsibilities are carried out as per agreed policy and procedures.
Recording and investigating incidents, accidents and complaints.
Investigate any health and safety issues raised by management or employees.
Produce reports for health and safety statistics, and trends writing regular articles to communicate to all employees on health and safety issues and changes to regulations.

Qualifications

NEBOSH / IOSH qualification
Risk assessments, fire management experience.

Hours: 34 per week

Salary Dependant on experience

£30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
