The Role


The overall purpose of this role is to assist our Payroll Support Team Leader with managing the distribution of work amongst the Payroll team and ensuring all administrative tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

The main elements of this role will include but not be limited to:

  • Responding to Payroll helpdesk queries
  • Raising invoices and dealing with any associated queries
  • Managing the leavers process for Payroll clients
  • Completing general database management tasks where required
  • Processing incoming and outgoing post


There are opportunities in this role for you to develop your career in Payroll, and allow you to learn how to process Payrolls, and become a part of the Payroll Bureau Team if successful.

In order to fulfil the role, we expect you to be:

  • Able to communicate professionally with clients (written and verbal forms)
  • Comfortable working within a fast paced working environment
  • A dedicated team player and willing to assist colleagues within the team where possible
  • A good problem solver and have excellent attention to detail
  • Able to prioritise workloads under strict deadlines and work well under pressure
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and contribute ways in which current processes can be made more effective for the team and clients
