Description
We are seeking an honest and trustworthy individual.


You will be responsible for:

  • Identify new business opportunities to source Ferrous scrap (iron & Steel)
including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services

  • Seeking out the appropriate contact in an organisation
  • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
  • Focus mainly on engineering, manufacturing construction and demolition sector.
Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

  • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
  • A can do attitude and think outside the box.
Excellent negotiating skills

  • Manage relationships with suppliers regarding the purchase of their materials
  • Experience in sales beneficial, industry experience not necessary.
Proven track record of developing and delivering new purchases - Excellent communication skills/relationship building

  • A full UK driving licence.

Salary:
£28,000.00-£45,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Bonus scheme
  • Commission pay
  • Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Grays: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Sales: 1 year (preferred)
  • Negotiation: 1 year (preferred)
