We have an exciting opportunity for a Head Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and diverse team at Walton Lodge.
The full-time role would be working 40 hours a week over 4 days, 9am to 7pm with 1 in 2 Saturday consult weekends, 1 in 7 long on call weekends - Friday evening to Monday morning.
When on call you will only be called in as and when required.Your typical week would include mornings and afternoons made up of consultations.
After consultations, the rest of your day will be spent liaising with the inpatients and the owners regarding further work ups required or you will be on theatre duties and will complete the ops booked in for that day.

SalaryThe salary for this role is up to £67,000 depending on experience.

Walton Lodge Veterinary Group Ltd was co-founded in September 2000, by Helen Lee BVSc, MRCVS & her partner Rodney Pugh.

Walton Lodge is made up of a team of 8 experienced Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses and 11 Receptionists.
Helen Lee is the senior Veterinary Surgeon at Walton Lodge and Helen qualified from Bristol University in 1984 and has worked in Hertfordshire since 1985 as a small animal Veterinary Surgeon.
Our team of experienced and very capable Veterinary Surgeons and Veterinary Nurses aim to provide the highest quality of care for our client's pets.
CPD is highly encouraged, for example, one of our vets in doing a laparoscopic course with the RVC shortly and once of our RVN is doing a certificate in nursing.
