Are you an enthusiastic and versatile Civil Engineer with a few years industry experience?

We are working with one of the most established civil and structural engineering consultancies in the South West, assisting them in their search for a Infrastructure/Drainage Engineer with residential development experience.


The company:


Several offices across the South of England housing a multidisciplinary team covering; Civil and Structural Engineering, Transport Planning, Geo-Environmental Engineering.

The Exeter office is based not far from the M5 with free parking and has a team numberingaround 20. The company has a real focus on a healthy work-life balance and as such operates a flexible working policy.

With a number of chartered engineers in place, the team is well placed to support the development of non-chartered civil engineers.

There are training agreements in place with the ICE, in addition any relevant training will also be provided when necessary orrequested.

The team actively encourages attending networking and industry events, the business takes pride in involving itself in the local market whether it be working on local projects or fundraising for good causes.


The role:


We are lookingfor a Civil engineer from a drainage background who is currently working toward chartered status, given the healthy pipeline of work we are able to be quite flexible with the level of experience providing someone has a degree of postgraduationexperience.


What you'll be doing:

  • 3D site modelling and road design using Civils 3D and/or microdrainage
  • S38/S278 highway design to Manual for Streets and Design Manual for Roads & Bridges
  • Volumetric Assessment
  • DrainagedesignforPrivateandAdoptableSystems(StrategyandLayout, Hydraulic Calculations)
  • Flood risk assessments
  • Undertaking Statutory Authority Searches & Liaison
  • General Reporting and Correspondence Construction Specifications
  • Risk Assessments

The projects:
Completed using market leading BIM software, projects come from a number of sectors including; healthcare, residential and commercial. There is a good mix of projects and this consultancy is working with a number of high end developers. This role would certainlysuit someone who wants to work on local, high profile projects.

Rewards:
As well as a contemporary flexible working scheme, you can expect:

  • A salary of £29,000
  • £38,000 depending on experience
