Introduction:

Our client is a leading Consultancy within the Defence, CNI and Government Sector, and they are looking for a Leader who can help them grow their outsourced IT Service for their clients

This role requires someone who has experience setting up and running outsourced IT Service and Delivery Management functions for clients, ideally within Government and/or Defence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a rewarding role that adds value to the business, as well as offering an excellent career opportunity.

Key responsibilities:

Set up, grow, deliver and run a new Outsourced IT Service offering for clients within Government and Defence.
Provide leadership and direction to a team of 15 Consultants and grow the team to a further 1015 Service Desk Engineers and Delivery Managers.
Operate as a Service Delivery Manager on client projects for up to 30% of the time, delivering Service Management, Design or Architecture on live projects for clients.
Strengthen our client's Service Management and Service Delivery capability for outsourced IT Management Services, including Cloud capability (AWS).
Manage resourcing including recruitment and deployment, including changing the direction of the team.
Support sales and business development opportunities to maintain a growing pipeline of business.
Develop plans to help achieve aspirations and deliver on strategic priorities.

Skills & experience:

Service Consulting experience, ideally within the Defence, Government, Nuclear, Aerospace or CNI sector.
Experience operating at a senior level, including running an outsourced IT Service Management team.
Strong leadership experience and demonstrable experience of leading teams of 10+ and growing teams.
Ability to develop technical capabilities including new service offerings (people, tools, processes).
Strong technical background to include: Service Architecture, Service Design or Service Management & Operations.
Comfortable leading geographically dispersed teams.
