Description

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing/Production Teams transform raw materials into finished goods and ensure component flow.

They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures.

Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Production Operator Wire & Cable

Swindon Shift Position:

Week 1 Mon to Thurs 6am to 2pm and Friday 6am12pm
Week 2 Mon to Thurs 2pm to 10pm and Friday 12pm6pm

Shift Allowance: 20%

As a Production Operator, you will contribute to the manufacture of Wire & Cable products in accordance with the company Quality standards as well as Health & Safety guidelines.

To work within the team performing the various stages of production as defined by the Tyco Electronics Operating Advantage (Lean Manufacturing), Quality, Safety, General Standards and Company Procedures.
To work to a manufacturing schedule and to notify supervision of any issues that may affect the completion of the schedule.
To prepare and complete all documentation accurately, legibly and in a timely manner.
To report any deviations to supervision promptly and to assist in resolving noncompliances where necessary.
To comply with training procedures and keep abreast of updates to General Standards.
To participate in internal/ external training programs which are relevant to the role and your personal development plan.
To have an awareness and accountability of sources of waste that impacts the business.
To work in a safe manner and follow all health and safety guidelines.
To carry out any other duties as designated by your manager.

What your background should look like:

The ability to read and follow work instructions/ methods, manufacturing specifications and quality standards.
An ability to conduct effective handovers to maintain workflow.
Experience of working with Quality Management and Quality Productivity Systems.
God numeracy and literacy skills.
A logical and methodical approach to tasks.
A flexible approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
Basic IT skills.
Ability to work well as part of a team.
