Description
We are looking for a caring, compassionate multitasker to join our Therapy Coordination Team. TCT are the first port of call for people affected by cancer and bereavement and are seeking holistic support.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Coordination of Referrals, Assessments and Allocation of Clients:
  • Provide information on all aspects of client services at CancerCare to clients, enquirers, and referrers.
  • Coordinate the referral and assessment process
  • Maintain the computerised client database including entering, editing & updating records of referrals, attendance, discharges and outcomes
  • Provide functional expertise and training about IMS (or relevant system) to therapists and other staff as required
  • When required, undertake initial assessments at CancerCare's premises to supplement the assessments carried out by our referrals' assessors.
  • Be available to clients who walk in and need to talk and/or be assessed immediately.
  • Management of confidential client records
  • Respond appropriately to the need to cancel or reallocate clients in the event of their therapist's absence
  • Provide information to therapists as appropriate
  • Liaise with referrers and related agencies in line with processes and protocols
  • Liaise with other CancerCare staff in particular support service staff to ensure clients are at the 'centre of support' given by CancerCare

Administrative Support:


  • General office and administrative duties for Client Services
  • Induct new therapists regarding the role of TCT, client allocations and monthly expense claims
  • Induct external healthcare professionals and provide information on the services at CancerCare.
  • To signpost to other services and organisations in line with processes and protocols

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Promote the work of CancerCare and safeguard its good name and reputation at every opportunity
  • Encourage clients to be aware of the full extent of CancerCare's services
  • Promote CancerCare at events by giving talks, staffing publicity stands, visiting other agencies
  • Represent CancerCare Client Services at events as requested by Head of Client Services

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 30 per week


Salary:
£17,160.00 per year
