SHE Management Systems Controller

ROCKWOOL UK are currently looking to add an experienced individual to our SHE Team at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales.

The SHE Management Systems Controller will be responsible for ensuring that ROCKWOOL UK remains compliant with all Health and Safety and Environmental legislation, and crucially that all ISO standards are maintained.

This opportunity is offering full-time, permanent employment and you will be required to work Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 3pm.

Job Purpose & Scope:

Ensure SHE documentation is kept up to date and is reviewed regularly
Make improvements by facilitating the closure of corrective and preventive actions
Maintain certification to ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 5000
Ensure conformance to ROCKWOOL Group documents

Key Responsibilities & Job Content:

Plan the annual SHE internal audit schedule against the requirements of
ISO Environmental Management System Standard)
ISO Occupational Health & Safety Management System Standard)
ISO Energy Management System Standard)
Carry out internal audits covering all business aspects (SHE, Quality, Processes etc.)
Maintain and update SHE actions in the Corrective & Preventive Action Log
Regularly communicate open HSE actions to relevant responsible people and provide support to close the actions
Carry out SHE legal compliance checks
Maintain an up to date register of health & safety and environmental legislation
Monitor upcoming changes to SHE legislation and assess impact on the business
Carry out a gap analysis on ROCKWOOL Group Mandatory Minimum Requirements (MMR)
Implement identified corrective actions from the MMR gap analysis
Review and update SHE documentation as required
Work closely with other teams that have responsibility for SHE compliance to ensure relevant documentation is kept up to date
Support the Health & Safety Manager and Environmental Manager with external audits
Provide training / coaching to ROCKWOOL employees
Maintain our internal RockSHE system
Support the Health & Safety Manager and Environmental Manager in preparing reports for Management Review
Maintain and update SHE risk & opportunities matrix
Ensure the organisation is kept informed of risks, opportunities and changes from external factors
Proactively work with all departments to facilitate improvements in SHE performance
Liaise with ROCKWOOL Group and other OPCOs for best practice sharing / networking
Issue SHE bulletins when required

This is what you offer:

Experienced in managing ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 5000
Previous auditing experience
Strong understanding of H&S and Environmental and Energy legislation
NEBOSH or IEMA qualification is desirable
Previous experience of manufacturing
Implemented improvements to HSE processes
Strong IT capabilities
