Currently there is a vacancy for a highly motivated full time Band 2 Endoscopy Decontamination Assistant within the Endoscopy unit at Kent & Canterbury Hospital.

The unit is a busy Unit delivering high quality care to patients attending for both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This post is permanent.


East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust is one of the largest Trusts in England and is situated in the heart of the "Garden of England." The Trust has three endoscopy Units located on all three main sites at the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford and the third located at the Kent & Canterbury Hospital.


To work as a team member within the work environment carrying out assigned tasks involving the direct/indirect care of the patient in support, and supervised by a registered nurse.

To ensure that the technical equipment is prepared and maintained and is fit for purpose. Assist with the running of the decontamination service that is the reasonability of the endoscopy unit. Ensuring all policies, procedures and the tracking of all equipment is adhered to.
