Your new role:

A great opportunity is available for a practice trained qualified Accountant who is seeking a first move into industry.

This role will report directly into the Group Finance Director and you will be involved in financial reporting as well as assisting in thepreparation of budgets, maintaining and producing reports.

The business are currently in the process of implementing a new system which you will be expected to learn and champion across all entities and assist in its implementation.


Duties and responsibilities:


  • Assisting with the completion of monthly financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Assisting with the budgets.
  • Regular creditor statement reconciliations and advising finance teams of suspected errors.
  • Coordinating internal audits, including verifying controls and looking for weaknesses.
  • Liaising with external auditors.
  • Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies.
  • Verifying bank account balances.
  • Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget.
  • Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records and statements.
  • Assist8ing with completing the yearend analysis and accounts supporting schedules.
  • Reporting on debtors and creditors.
  • Handling accruals and prepayments.

You will be/have:


  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
  • Experience of accounts preparation and auditing.
  • Sage Payroll experience.
  • Advanced Excel capability.
