Description
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and motivational team player to join us as Maintenance Person at Steeton Court Nursing Home.
As the Maintenance Person you will oversee the maintenance of the whole Home, ensuring a high-quality and comprehensive service is maintained and delivered to our residents.
You will be responsible:
- To maintain the general maintenance management of the Home
- Ensure the routine checking of the following systems: Fire detection, alarm and emergency lighting, Dorguards and electromagnetic holders
- General power and lighting
- Lifts and hoist equipment
- Nurse call system
- These systems mainly require external maintenance by qualified individuals, but will require some maintenance and replacement of parts to be done by the Maintenance person._
- General transportation duties as required, which necessitates the holding and keeping of a full clean driving licence
- PAT testing of new electrical equipment and retesting as required
- To work core hours of Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week, with call out availability at all other times
- Attend mandatory training annually
- To wear the appropriate clothing and footwear at all times
- To have a duty to whistleblow if witness to bad practice or harm to a Resident within the Home
Salary:
£14.00-£15.00 per hour

Experience:
- Maintenance in a care home: 2 years (required)
