You will be employed by the Gosforth Group and may need to work across all locations within the Multi Academy Trust as required.

About the role

North Gosforth Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding Cover Supervisor to join our team.

You will be required to supervise classes during the absence of the class teacher and will be expected to work with and supervise small groups of students under the guidance of senior staff.

This will include supporting the work of the Pastoral Team, implementing work programmes, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities in line with the school's and Multi Academy Trust's policies and procedures.

  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and in particular able to establish positive relationships with pupils
  • A clear understanding of classroom roles and responsibilities
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team
  • Excellent ICT skills and the proven ability to use them effectively to support learning
  • Ability to respond positively and effectively to unexpected problems and situations
  • A working knowledge of national or foundation stage curriculum and other relevant learning programmes/strategies
  • A relentless drive to secure the best possible outcomes for students of all abilities
