Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be working with a highly profitable business that are market leading in the production of high-end products and services.
The client is based in Alfreton operating with a strong international market presence. They arelooking to bring in a new Finance Controller to join their growing team.You will be reporting into the CFO and map the future of the finance function along with a deliverable growth path.
The ability to work closely with the business leaders and to influence is also essential.This role will take full ownership for the finance leadership including P&L, budgets, balance sheet, CAPEX, cash, projects as well as MI development and reporting as well as responsibility for managing and developing the finance team.
Key duties will include:
- Cashflow controls
- Regular forecasting and budgeting
- Working closely with the sales, operations and production leaders
- Financial leadership
- Stakeholder influencing, in particular on key product lines and margins with sales, marketing, R&D and operations all involved
- Management of the finance function, including accountants, transactional finance staff and analysts
- Responsibility for the financial reporting and management accounting
- Financial systems and process improvements
- Control of the Group P&L
- Project management, in particular key long term WIP reporting and delivery of medium to long term analysis of pipeline
- Management, development and mentoring of the finance team
Based in an easily commutable region of North Derbyshire, close to both the M1 and major A roads the business will be a simple commute from Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and Leicester whilst offering a hybrid flexible working approach with an office presenceonly needed for 2-3 days a week at busy periods.
You must be a qualified accountant and ideally be experienced within a production, manufacturing or engineering environment that has allowed hands on experience within an R&D settingAny experience of high growth / fast growth environments would be advantageous
This could also be your first FC appointment providing you can demonstrate the relevant experience within a hands on role whilst working for an FD or Operational FC.
