As a member of the Fire Risk Assessment team, who will deliver on various projects, schemes and individual assessments for our growing client portfolio across the southern region of the UK as part of a wider Fire Risk Assessment team.
Key tasks
- As a fire risk assessor, you will be required to carry out fire risk assessments across a wide range of property types; Care Homes, Residential, Educational, Commercial and Industrial etc
- You will be customer facing and writing reports using our predefined software in accordance with localised fire legislation and guidance.
- There may be some requirement to support clients in liaison with enforcing authorities, writing fire procedures and assisting clients with things like PEEP's.
- Liaison with other fire divisions within the business when questions are asked about reports written and assist with technical support where required.
- Although we have assessors based all across the UK, as a national business there will be a requirement to travel, therefore a company vehicle (or allowance) are provided as well as accommodation / food allowance should there need for an occasional overnight stay be required.

- Demonstrate an understanding of what service delivery excellence is for your role, ensuring you deliver the basics right every time and lead a team where service is central to good performance.
Managing Risk
- Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impact on your operations.
- Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business
Managing Health & Safety
- Conduct any Risk Assessments and Method Statements, compiling reports in line with H&S requirements
- Liaising with the Head of Compliance to ensure any compliance as part of your role is in line with the framework set.

Experience (what you have done)
Essential
- A minimum of 3 years within the fire safety industry as a fire risk assessor
- Significant experience in the fire safety industry

Qualifications
Essential
- Evidence of FRA related training or qualifications.
- Evidence of continued CPD
- Currently on a Fire Risk Assessors register
