Description
Child Care Worker for 14 year-old boy Autism & SLD
9:30 -1:00pm Saturdays & Sundays during school term time and/or
weekdays during school holidays

Mileage of 40p per mile paid - driver not essential:
Good hourly rate: £15.
00 per hour:

Wages paid every 3 weeks, including mileage, direct payment
by Lancashire Council (payslips provided)

Funds provided each day for tickets & fun activities
My son is 2:1 in the community so you will always work alongside
another carer who has worked with my son for 5 years
Example of a typical carer day:
9:30 - Arrive at our home (FY6) for pick up
10:00 - Activity e.g. Space Centre (Preston), Fusion (Preston),
Sandcastle (Blackpool), Amusement Arcade (Blackpool) etc. Fun
activities are booked and paid for in advance (communicated
beforehand)
11:30 - tram ride along Blackpool promenade
12:30 McDonalds drive-thru lunch
1:00 Return to home (FY6)
Potential to do hours during school holidays but not
essential

My son is non verbal and has autism and SLD. DBS will be
carried out by social services prior to starting work.
