SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
Are you a graduate with a psychology degree, looking to gain experience in a school, prior to starting a teacher training or educational psychology course in the near future?
Would you like to gain experience in a school environment, supporting children with ASD, EBD, Autism and EHCP?

  • SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant
  • Immediate start - July 2023
** £70 - £80 per day

  • Primary school based in South Birmingham
** 1:1 support to a Year 5 child with Autism
If you're a bubbly and enthusiastic graduate with a passion for supporting SEN pupilsthis is the role you're looking for

As an SEN Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with a young child in Year 5 who has Autism.

This child is very bright and is fairly academic. They struggle with long periods of work and require small breaks throughout the day.

Yourrole will be to support this child on a 1:1 basis with all elements of school life (academically, emotionally and physically).

The school is based in the leafy Ward of Selly Oak and can be easily accessed via public transport.

Whilst the bus will drop you directly outside the school, the nearest train line is less than 0.5 miles away from the school gates.

This 'Outstanding' primaryschool is well known in the local authority for its support and guidance to both newly qualified teachers and support staff alike.

Many graduates have left the school after an academic year with the skills and knowledge they needed to persue teacher trainingor an educational psychology course.
