About the role
You will be part of a production line filling pharmaceutical products in a cleanroom environment. You will also operate other machines that are used to make the final product.

What you can expect to do in the role

Production line operators must read, follow written instructions and have numeracy skills
Set up the clean room and ensure all tools and apparatus are thoroughly cleaned
Maintaining biological integrity and equipment hygiene at the beginning and end of each day
Responsible for ingredient handling and setting up machines ready for preparation of products
Key member of filling and product assembly line ensuring a high quality and consistent product
Keeping stock of raw materials and consumables to maintain constant supply
Operating the machines in line with related safety procedures and risk assessments
Collaborate with the production, dispensary and the warehouse teams to manage the ingredients and final product
Quality control process including collecting, logging and keeping accurate record
You should be able to think ahead, anticipate problems and issues. Assess and report anomalies, malfunctions to the other staff.
Working in a fast, efficient and controlled manner. Ensure the smooth running of the production line that may require frequent standing for long periods of time.
Packing of the product and ensure it is labelled correctly for distribution. Working well as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the product is dispatched on time

Mechanical skills basic mechanical aptitude and good manual dexterity are essential
Physical fitness manufacturing environments can be hot or cold, production line operators must frequently lift heavy materials, physical fitness is essential
Attention to detail production line operators perform quality control by verifying that all materials on the line meet company standards, which requires good attention to detail
Computer skills production line systems are semi automated, so operator must have at least basic computer skills
Communication skills operators maintain good verbal communication with supervisors and fellow workers
