The Oxford Internet Institute - founded in is a multidisciplinary research and teaching department of the University of Oxford, dedicated to the social science of the Internet.


We are seeking an outstanding Research Assistant to work with Dr Adam Mahdi, Prof Samantha Vanderslott, and Prof Ekaterina Hertog on a project investigating the ways in which social, political, economic, and technological structures contribute to the digital divide.

The project is titled

_Geographies of Digital Divide:

A data-driven approach to understanding structural determinants of digital inequalities._ It is funded by the John Fell Fund and is led by Dr Adam Mahdi (Principal Investigator).


The post holder will be reporting to the Principal Investigator (Dr Adam Mahdi) and/ or Co-Investigators (Prof Samantha Vanderslott, Prof Ekaterina Hertog) and will be expected to inform the database by carrying out a systematic literature review to assess the landscape for two examples of the digital divide: labour-saving technologies (in particular using artificial intelligence) and digital health literacy for vaccination uptake.


Experience conducting systematic literature reviews, liaising with relevant stakeholders for data acquisition and data management, and contributing to publications/presentations is essential.
