Key Purpose of the Department
The D&E team play a central role in supporting KST customers who require system designs and estimations primarily for Intruder, CCTV & Access Control.
The design role covers new system installs, upgrades and remedial works in a range of environments from industrial warehouses, large supermarkets and office locations ensuring accuracy on design and costs.
- Attend site surveys as required to consult on client requirements in order to produce a technical design and estimate
- Prepare and maintain sketches/drawings, maps, reports and legal descriptions of surveys in order to describe, certify and assume liability for work performed
- Where surveys are not necessary produce deskbased estimations based on provided requirements
- Liase with manufacturers to ensure using suitable components to achieve client objectives
- Populate quotations with relevant technical data and pricing
- Produce specifications in line with latest NSI standards and code of practice
- Produce site specific RAMS and any KST documentation required
- Liase with clients as required
- Ensure you work to the processes and regulations used in the business
- Manage workloads in line with internal and external SLA's
- Attend meetings as required (both internal and customer meetings)
- Maximising business potential
- Maintaining accurate records
- Implement and act in accordance with the organisations information security policies
- Protect assets from unauthorised access, disclosure, modification, destruction, or interference
- Implement particular security processes or activities, as requested by management
- Report security events or potential events or other security risks to the organisation
- Implement and act in accordance with all company policies including but not limited to information security policies, environmental, quality and Health and Safety
Requirements:
Essential requirements for the job
- Intruder, CCTV and access systems knowledge
- Driving licence
- Be selfmotivated, energetic and positive
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
- High degree of planning and organisational skills
- Flexible and abatable
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes of practise
- Experience in handling tasks with tight deadlines
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationship within the business and clients.
- Demonstration of a high level of competency with regard to analytical thinking and problem solving
- Experience Working from CAD documents
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office
- Minimum of two years' experience within the Security Systems sector.
